The whole Belt is Famous for its Tea Gardens and for this the credit goes to Dr. Jameson, Superintendent Botanical Gardens, North-West Frontier Province. Who introduced the tea bush from Almora in 1849. The bush thrived and so did the town which became a focus of the European tea estate owners.

The food serve has Indian, Chinese and Himachali food varieties all cooked from the farm fresh organic vegetables and all Dairy products are also from Local farms.
