Why the Mayurbhanj Biological Research (MBR) was started....

The Incidence and major environmental issue’s are forest and agricultural degradation of land, resource depletion (water, mineral, forest, sand, soil, rocks etc.), loss of biodiversity, loss of resilience in ecosystems, livelihood security for the poor, tribal and resources poor people of rural India. The major sources of pollution in India include the rampant burning of fuel-wood and biomass lack of sewage treatment operations, lack of flood control and monsoon water drainage system, diversion of consumer waste into rivers, drinking water supply and sanitation, cremation practices near major rivers. The pollution delivery and control mechanism is also one of the Challenging task and in cross cutting issues. The awareness, education and community capacity building activities were limited in many Place and were nonexistent.
Meanwhile, funding for environmental research and development, capacity building and resource making was not only extremely limited, especially comparable to the most challenging task to save the Biological diversity for future generation, But ; was decreasing/threatening/venerable and no other Institution/organization existed that was dedicated specially to these issues in our areas . The situation remains as serious today to meet the present changes...
