About Bethany English Nursery and Primary School in BDA Layout, Lingarajapuram, Bangalore

In the 1980s, Edward and Stella Paul, were living very comfortable lives in India. Edward was an engineer and Stella a school teacher. In 1987, with the desire to educate children living in the slums in Bangalore, India, they established Bethany Ministries. Bethany School has provided generations of students with a quality education. In India education is not free, students typically have to pay for books, uniforms, etc. which can be unattainable for the poorest populations. Bethany continues to provide children from Kindergarten to seventh grade with an education at little to no cost. The school provides uniforms, books, access to technology, classes in English, hygienic facilities, and many other resources for the children.
