Apostolic Christian Assembly church in Avadi was founded by Ps Thomasraj under the prayerful leadership and guidance of (Late) Pastor G. Sundaram, the Founder of Apostolic Christian Assembly in the year 1973. What began as a prayer fellowship under (Late) Bro.Jerome Thiyagarajan with a handful of believers, has grown today to many thousand believers.

A large piece of land (besides the present church campus in Avadi) has been purchased by the church with a vision to build a large church in the future to accommodate the growing crowds in Melpakkam (4 kms from the present church building) in the outskirts of Avadi on the Poonamalee-Avadi High Road.

Since its inception the church has become a beacon of light and hope to many hundred families who have been benefited by the spiritual nourishment and fellowship available through its services.

Pastor Thomasraj is a well known church leader in Tamilnadu.

He began his church ministry with a handful of people. Yet the Lord has used him to raise, lead and influence hundreds of pastors, leaders and thousands of believers. His life story – how God raised him from very humble beginnings – and his passion for ministry have inspired thousands.

He is a renowned preacher and often challenges pastors, leaders and believers towards holiness, prayer, evangelism, church growth and faithful ministry.

His pastor and mentor, (Late) Pastor. G. Sundaram, the Founder of Apostolic Christian Assembly, inspired him to live with simplicity, integrity and commitment to God in the face of trials in ministry. He is married to Suganthi Deva Kirubai. Their five children are married and serve the Lord in various capacities.
