Sharma Oil Company (HPCL Petrol Pump and Distributor of LDO, SKO and authorized wholesaler of Industrial and Automotive Lubricants) was established in early 1963 at Ambala cantt by Late Sh. Rameshwar Dass Sharma and his younger brother Late Sh. OM Prakash Sharma. Both the brothers did die hard working to create a respectable name for their company. Earlier Sharma Oil Company was the authorized dealer of ESSO (Standard Oil Company) of America. Later in early 1970 when Indian Oil Companies came into formation Sharma Oil Company and its founder preferred to join hands with newly formatted oil company of India i.e M/s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL). Later both the brothers Late Sh. Rameshwar Dass Sharma and Late Sh. OM Prakash Sharma made another HPCL Petrol Pump at Ambala Delhi National Highway (NH-1), Kuldeep Nagar, Ambala Cantt, Haryana.
