Education in India has seen several changes; with introduction of smart classes and life skills (NCERT) Education has gone to a newer level. The objective of education is no more teaching syllabus but to prepare students for the realities of life like choosing right career and being socially aware.
In recent years CBSE and other boards have done several changes in school curriculum to reach “Holistic Development” of child. But schools have its own limitations.
The reason we are unable to attain the desired objective of Holistic development is because of lack of integration between thinking of students, Teachers and Parents.
Our project is based on simple theory that every child is smart and intelligent enough to reach Holistic development. The basics of this theory are tested and widely used by various educational institutions and it’s famous as theory of Multiple Intelligence by Prof. Harvard Gardner and Lateral Thinking by Prof. Edward De Bono.
We will achieve holistic development by exposing them to various simulation activities based on Multiple Intelligence, by observing them on the basis of integrating teachers, parents and students and providing them insight into his ways of learning and areas of expertise.

Project X-plore

The Xplore is intended for Children of age group 6 to 14, to support the integration of soft skill values into their attitudes and behaviour.
The Toolkit helps to reinforce the positive values that derive from the fundamental principles of human life. The human values promoted by the Toolkit are: Communication, Leadership, Team building, Problem solving, Cooperation, Respect, Fairness, Inclusion, Respect for diversity, Responsibility, Acceptance & etc.
Each and every session or activity is designed and divided into two parts called Action and Reflection. So, in first half student will do action or play the games and in next half they will come together in a group and reflect on their game. In reflection part, they will discuss on four main agenda
•What they have learned from this game or why they have played this game.
•What mistake they have done individually and as a group too.
•What strategy they should make for next game or solution for the problem.
•Where will I apply this learning in my life?
After intra group discussion, all we will do inter group discussion and they will share their ideas. This will make the students more confident in speaking, chance to perform in different aspects of game, share feelings/thoughts/ideas. Students will also learn to give chance to others so they will perform and improve themselves and etc. To make it more constructive and to use the same for future reference for this we have developed one tool called Reflective sheet. This sheet is self-assessment kind of sheet, after every game individual will fill this Reflective sheet.
Why is it important to educate children about soft skills or Social skills?

By Activities in the Project Xplore children will learn to experience through games. They will face different real life Situations where they have to take decision and get the best solution and face the problem constructively.
Based on these concrete experiences, children will discuss in a group, importance of respect for diverse solution by all participants, inclusion and acceptance and then propose actions to put these values into practice in their daily lives.

Activities in the Project Xplore provide children with the opportunity to develop practical skills for dealing in real life situations. Children learn how to recognize different problems and attitudes and to propose solutions that are more inclusive and respectful of diversity.

The positive values and attitudes that children develop through the Project Xplore activities will hopefully accompany them into adulthood and this helps to build a society that is more respectful of human rights.
