‘CEPT Archives for Architecture, Planning and Design in India’, believes that the ethos of archiving the history of architecture and built environment in India, needs to be strengthened nationally, in order to increase its heritage value. Thus, our primary Vision is to acquire, organize, and preserve history, on a pan India basis and provide dedicated archival storage systems, for both digital and physical formats. We aim to offer comprehensive, well curated and easily accessible archival information, to all kinds of users. The work collected here, is open to students, scholars and professionals from across the globe, for reference and research.

Our key focus area, other than the CEPT Repository, are collections from 18th Century onwards with respect to the Indian context.

Our Mission is to build upon small and large acquisitions of archival value, in both physical and/or digital formats, and carry out its dissemination to the end user.

Along with external interactions with professionals, academicians and organisations from related disciplines, we aim to constantly carry out in-house research based and related activities as listed below, to ensure success in fulfilling our Mission.
