About One Chat in One Chat, Vijayapura

OneChat is an initiative of Sri B. M. Patil Foundation, an NGO working for the all round development of society in Vijayapura district. This programme entails working professionals visit a government/aided school in a rural area once a week or fortnight or as per their convenience and have a chat with rural children for half an hour on a subject.

The professionals who take part in this initiative could be from any profession such as medicine, engineering, law, architecture, dance, etc. and they can choose the topic on which they would like to have a chat with the rural children.

We believe a programme of this kind will give fillip to the quality of education imparted in rural schools and immensely benefit rural children in their all round development.

We are trying to enlist the support of local education bodies and associations (doctors, engineers, government employees, journalists, etc.) and district administration for this initiative. OneChat is being implemented in association with Education Department, Vijayapura Dist. Administration.
