I take great pleasure in re-introducing our school to you. St. Mark's is a Christian Minority Co-Educational High School, located in the peaceful premises of Tandur, the largest Municipality in Vikarabad Dist. It has spacious class rooms and well equipped laboratories as well as library. The ground located in the school premises is the largest ground in the town. The School aims to develop the academic, social, spiritual and sporting aspirations of each individual pupil. The teachers in the school strive their best to give the best possible academic standards with high levels of discipline and behavior. St Mark's High School makes every effort to offer and provide these standards within a happy and purposeful community atmosphere. St Mark's is well known for brilliant results in the town. Many former students are well settled in their professions, and many are on there way to aspire good future.
The plan for St Mark's started in the early 60's and started with very few pupil. Those pupil might not have felt important but in fact they were pioneers. They would forever be known as the first pupils of St Mark's High School Tandur. The school would reflect the ethos. An ideal that is reflected in our school crest today. The main vision was to establish a school which was co-educational, non selective and rooted in the development if its community, a school in the town which '' could deliver subjects leading to higher levels'' .
Now St Mark's is going to celebrate its Golden Jubilee Anniversary with many face-lifts. St Mark's today has an enrollment figure with many pupil along with an excellent staff. St Mark's, the center of excellence it is today, has a determination to accept nothing less than the best from its teachers and pupils. To honor the memory of the founders of the school, those still charged with the education of the young people today, will continue to live the dream.
St Mark's will continue to ensure that all children will be supported to reach their full potential in a system that is based on equality for all. Where every young person is valued for the contribution they can make, whatever that may be. St Mark's will remain a school where all children are educated together, where labels are removed and high academic standards are being achieved. After the 4 decades, the community of St Mark's will continue to hold clear the values created by the first educators in the school, values of justice, peace, truth, tolerance, respect, reconciliation and understanding and will continue to nurture them in the coming years.
