About Taekwondo Academy of Lakhimpur in North Lakhimpur, Assam, North Lakhimpur

"Taekwon-Do Association of Assam" is affiliated to International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) which was the Federation by General Choi HongHi, the founder of Taekwon-Do himself.
"Taekwon-Do Association of Assam (TAA)" was founded in 2007 and since then it has worked for the promotion of sports along with physical and mental fitness among the people of Assam. The members of the Association are a dedicated lot. They are growing fast. They have already produced many players of National level.
There are many talented martialartists in Assam who are in search of someone to guide them technically but have failed to find one. Many players have been forced to quit martial art due to various reasons. TAA recognises the need of these talented people of the state to grow and find a platform. TAA welcome these brothers and sisters with wide arms to join hands. TAA can train them in ITF Taekwon-Do which is an internationally acclaimed sport and self defence technique

A series of discussions with Lakhimpur District were held for the introduction of ITF in Lakhimpur. Lakhimpur district was represented by Mr. Raju Singh and the discussions were mediated by Mr. Rabijit Rajkumar
Following the meeting, Lakhimpur District agreed to join TAA (ITF). Thus Lakhimpur becamea member of the ITF family in May,2009.
