The EMPI with an objective of enhancing international exposure and learning has been endeavouring for joint working through academic fusion in areas such as Student and Faculty Exchange, Research and Development, Joint project/consulting work, International Seminars and Conferences through its network of Institutions all over the world.

In 2005, EMPI initiated the annual Indian Innovation Awards under the ‘Mission Innovative India’ with the blessings of the President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

The following year, The Boston Consulting Group joined in as the Research Partner and Process Validator and the awards were re-christened as the ‘ EMPI-Indian Express Innovation Awards’ with the joining in of the leading national group – The Indian Express. The Awards celebrate innovative corporate, non-corporate, government and network organizations as role models by documenting and disseminating their innovative stories
