With the blessings of Maharishi Markandeshwar ji, the MM University Trust, was founded in November 1993 by a great visionary and promoter of education Shri Tarsem Garg, founder President of the Trust. Under his stewardship and patronage, the Trust has made a rapid progress. In a short span of seventeen years, a number of institutions of higher learning, have been established which include Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana (comprising institutions of Engineering & Technology, Physiotherapy, Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Management, Computer, Nursing, Hotel Management, Law, Distance Education) ; Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan (H.P.); and Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Sadopur-Ambala and an Integrated Campus at Ramba-Karnal. These Institutions are offering high profile professional courses which have been started with the approval of the respective regulatory councils viz. AICTE, MCI, DCI, IAP, INC, PCI, BCI, etc. Other institutions established by the Trust at Mullana include MM International School, MM College of Education, MM School of General Nursing & Midwifery.

Today, the Trust is a holistic value based provider of education of global dimension and has been shaping the talent and aspirations of bright young generation not only by providing professional education at Graduate and Post Graduate level but also programs of research such as M.Phil. and Ph.D. in various disciplines.

The Trust has the proud privilege of establishing the first self financing Engineering College, first self financing Medical College and first self financing Deemed University in the state of Haryana.

MMU @ MULLANA
Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana was established as a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Beginning with the establishment of an Engineering College at village Mullana, in the foothills of Shivalik ranges of rural belt of Haryana with 180 students and 13 faculty members, the campus is now spread over nearly 200 acres of land on the ‘tapobhoomi’ of Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji in the river bed of Markanda with all modern civic amenities and comforts today can boast of a strength of over 11,000 students supported by highly qualified strong faculty of 1100 teachers at its Institutions. Presently MMU is offering a large number of graduate and post graduate programmes in various streams of disciplines in addition to research programmes leading to the award of M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees in different subjects.

MMU @ SOLAN
The lush green campus of the Maharishi Markandeshwar University,Solan spread over an area of 47 acres with exotic surroundings of green hills, is ideally located at Solan on Chandigarh–Shimla National Highway on Kumarhatti Bypass on one side and Sultanpur approach Road on the other in the lap of the “devbhoomi” of great Himalayan ranges. It has been Established under HP Govt. Act No. 22 of 2010 notified by H.P Govt. vide its notification No. LLR-D(6)-20/2010-LEG dated 20-09-2010 as a Multi-faculty University in the name of the Maharishi Markandeshwar ji, a great disciple of Lord Shiva, the Foundation Stone of the University was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal ji on 22 February 2009. With his blessings, the University has been operationalised with the following institutions w.e.f. the current academic session 2010-11:

School of Engineering Technology &Technology, School of Computer Applications, School of Business Management

The University will be operational in full bloom with the establishment of Schools of Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Fashion Design, etc. in the coming sessions. As a step forward towards the establishment of the proposed School of Medical Sciences the work of the establishment of a 300 bed multi specialty hospital is already in progress, which will be upgraded to 500 bed hospital.

MMU @ AMBALA

The M M University Established under HARYANA ACT No. 29 of 2010 of Haryana Govt. notified vide its Notification No. Leg.38/2010 dated 29-10-10 on a piece of over 40 acres of land as an expansion at Sadopur on Delhi-Chandigarh National Highway in the suburbs of Ambala towards Chandigarh. It has been established to inject new life to the educational system and providing facilities of professional education to the people of the surrounding region.

Beginning with the courses in the area of Engineering & Technology, Business Management and Computer Applications with effect from the session 2010-11, the complex in the years to come will have programmes in Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing, Fashion Technology, etc. with emphasis on research in emerging areas.

MM @ KARNAL

As a part of its further expansion programme to serve the society, the MM University Trust has also developed another 12 Acre Campus of MM Groups of Institutions at Ramba on Karnal - Yamuna Nagar National Highway in Karnal for imparting instruction in Professional courses of Engineering & Technology, Business Management and Computer Technology which has become operational with effect from the ongoing session of 2010 - 11 with the approval of the All India Council of Technical Education and the Kurukshetra University
